Referrers Information

In order to provide the best of medical care, GMI prefers to operate a medical imaging service utilising an appointment system for patients. However, there are times when a study needs to be performed urgently and we are very happy to assist. It is very helpful to discuss the clinical scenario with the Radiologist as this will aid in expediting the urgency. If you require, the results will be phoned before the patient leaves GMI.

The results of studies performed at GMI can be emailed, faxed or posted to the referrer. For speed and ease, most referrers prefer to receive their results electronically. Please let us know your preference.

GMI allows referrers access to its computer server in order to directly view the patient’s images and reports if required. This is particularly useful after-hours and avoids storing hard copies of patient’s images. This access can be arranged by contacting our Office Manager who will organise one of our staff to complete the installation process for you. You will be given a specific password that will enable you to log into our server using safe and secure encryption technology.
